The Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) Foundation has agreed to donate $150,000 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation over 3 years to endow an annual wish in perpetuity.
The foundation, affiliated with MDRT, Park Ridge, Ill., gave the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Phoenix, the first of 3 $50,000 contributions to the endowment in October.

- The U.S. arm of Sun Life Financial Inc., Toronto (NYSE:SLF), has given $165,000 in grants and scholarships to nonprofit organizations and high school seniors in the Philadelphia area through the Sun Life Rising Star Awards program.
Program managers try to recognize and provide resources for high school students who have overcome the odds and remained committed to furthering their education and to support the nonprofit organizations that are helping those students, Sun Life says.
Sun Life offered the Rising Star Awards program in 7 cities this year.
- A foundation affiliated with Allstate Corp., Northbrook, Ill. (NYSE:ALL), has given $50,000 to Working in Support of Education, New York.
The group will use the grant to support a New Jersey high school financial literacy program.
- Bankers Life and Casualty Company, Chicago, a unit of CNO Financial Group Inc., Carmel, Ind. (NYSE:CNO), has donated $20,000 to Meals on Wheels Chicago, to help the organization deliver meals to homebound seniors and people with disabilities.
