Personnel Changes: Philadephia Financial, GenSpring, Aon

Philadelphia Financial, Plymouth Meeting, Pa., announced it has hired Ken Kilbane as executive vice president of strategic initiatives.

Previously, Kilbane was president of international life operations at Transamerica, a unit of AEGON N.V., the Hague, Netherlands (NYSE:AEG)

Kilbane received a BS in finance from California State University.

In other personnel news:

GenSpring Family Offices, Palm Beach Fla., a wealth management affiliate of SunTrust Banks Inc., Atlanta, announced it has hired Matt Pohlman as a family wealth advisor in Chapel Hill, N.C.

Before joining GenSpring, Pohlman was director of client services for Franklin Street Partners, an investment firm in Chapel Hill.

Pohlman is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, receiving a Bachelor's degree in business administration. He has a Master's in accounting from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's Kenan-Flagler School of Business.

Aon Corporation (NYSE:AON), Chicago, announced the appointment of Steve Betts, currently the chief information officer for Aon Benfield, as its global chief information officer for Aon.

Betts graduated from the University of Manchester in the United Kingdom with a BSc in mathematics and management science.
