Tranen Capital Ltd., a Caribbean longevity fund company, has opened an office in Bogota, Colombia.

Tranen, Tortola, British Virgin Islands, says the new office will help it promote sales of the Tranen Capital Alternative Investment Fund Ltd. in Latin America. The fund invests in the U.S. life secondary market.

The fund has about $100 million in assets under managemen. It serves investors from Asia, Europe and Central America.

"Tranen Capital's entry into Colombia opens the South American marketplace and reflects its strategy to become a globally based investment vehicle," says Arthur Bowen, one of the fund's managing directors.

Tranen also has offices in Singapore, Tokyo, Dublin and Zurich.
