We are the only professionals who can ask the questions that inspire our prospects and clients to take action. But this opportunity is wasted if we don't ask the right questions. Don't assume the topics are so obvious that you don't have to bring them up because their implications are not always so obvious. Here is a partial list of topics to discuss with your clients:

  1. Entitlements: Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid
  2. National debt
  3. Taxes: federal, state and local
  4. Health care costs
  5. Inflation/deflation

  9. Natural disaster costs
  10. Pensions and how to fund them
  11. Young peoples' future tax burden
  12. Stock and bond market dangers
