Gabelli Taps Mullady for Closed-End Funds

Agnes Mullady was named president and COO of Gabelli's Closed-End Fund Division, it was announced Monday by Gamco Investors, Inc., assuming full responsibility for all open-end funds. She will also oversee Gamco Investors, Inc.'s open- and closed-end fund financial reporting.

Currently Gabelli Funds, LLC is in the process of forming a broker-dealer to distribute its open-end funds; Mullady will serve as chief executive of the broker-dealer on its formation.

Mullady had served as senior vice president of Gamco Investors since her promotion to that post in 2009. She came to Gamco in 2005, having twenty years of experience in mutual fund treasury operations with various fund complexes. Previous to joining Gamco, she served as treasurer, chief financial officer, and chief accounting officer for the Excelsior Funds complex since 2004 at U.S. Trust Co., N.A., where she was a senior vice president.

Through its subsidiaries, Gamco Investors, Inc. manages about $26.1 billion as of June 30, 2010. These assets are comprised of private advisory accounts at Gamco, closed-end and mutual funds at Gabelli Funds, LLC, and partnerships and offshore funds (Investment Partnerships).
