Sales and business expert Brian Tracy says business success comes one step at a time, and the important strategy is to take the first step.

He says, "The best business advice is to move forward one step at a time, learning and growing as you go. There is enough information available in virtually every field for you to become knowledgeable enough to achieve success. But action is necessary."

Read on to find seven simple steps to achieving the success you've planned for yourself.

1. Set a goal. Back it up with a fervent desire.

2. Start building capital with a regular savings program. You can't move ahead until you start doing this.

3. While still at your current job, learn while you earn, and learn as much as you can. Think of it as business training.

4. Research and experiment in business on a small scale to learn the key strategies and necessary knowledge for success.

5. Seek out any problems, unmet needs, products or services you can provide with good quality and reasonable prices.

6. Get educated in business by reading everything you can about your chosen field.

7. Put your plans into action with courage and persistence. Have the utmost faith you will succeed and never give up.
