The newly launched AssistedLivingFacilities.org has been designed to assist seniors as they move toward assisted living situations. The website will educate senior consumers and help answer their questions regarding this transition.

Assisted living has grown in popularity over the years as seniors who are not in need of round-the-clock care but require some help with daily tasks have sought out middle ground. Because assisted living facilities are regulated at the state level, though, different terminology and requirements have led to confusion for the assisted living consumer. Assisted Living Facilities will attempt to dispel this confusion.

To help consumers with their research of facilities the website offers an assisted living directory for each state, offering licensing requirements and contact information for more than 40,000 facilities nationwide. In addition, a senior care blog will offer helpful advice from individuals with experience in the senior care industry, such as former nursing aides, caretakers with experience selecting an assisted living facility and industry experts.
