Are you our next Producer Profile?

Everyone's got a story. We want to share a few of the best, so, to borrow a thought from the Marines, we're looking for a few good men – or women.

Specifically, we are seeking out successful producers who have a particularly interesting story to tell. Our ideal Producer Profile candidates don't necessarily have to rack up ridiculous production totals, but they do need have that something extra that somehow sets them apart from the competition – an approach, a niche market, a system – something that has spurred you to achieve more than the typical life insurance agent. We're looking for highly ethical, community-involved producers who have figured out how to make it in the life insurance business. We want to know how you did it, and how your experience and proven sales, prospecting, referral or practice management processes can benefit other producers. A demonstrated commitment to being highly educated about the industry in the form of a designation such as CLU, CFP or ChFC doesn't hurt, either.

Perhaps you have overcome considerable adversity to become a successful producer, or traveled an unlikely path to the industry. Maybe you can tell us about a few instances where you going the extra mile made all the difference in the world for your clients. If you truly have a compelling story, I want to hear from you. Now I can't promise you'll end up on the cover of an upcoming issue of Life Insurance Selling – only a handful of exceptional producers are featured in any given year – but I know there a lot of extraordinary producers out there who we will never hear about unless we ask from time to time.

If you are interested, send me an email at [email protected] describing what makes you – or a colleague – a truly exceptional producer whose story will be of interest to readers of Life Insurance Selling. Please note that we will check the backgrounds of anyone being considered for a Producer Profile.

By the way, thanks to the many of you who shared your thoughts on STOLI and life settlements after last week's blog. There are some interesting comments and passionate viewpoints, and I invite you to read through them and offer your own two cents.
