When it comes to working with boomer women, it's all about service. A survey by VibrantNation found that 13 percent of women only make clothing purchases online because they don't like the service they receive in stores.

Although women who spend their money online only are a minority, the frustration is almost universal. Eighty-four percent of women said they find sales associates "indifferent, inexperienced, invisible, or outright rude," and 32 percent felt an age bias from younger workers. Sixty-five percent say they shop online, although not exclusively.
