A coalition of Latino groups has developed a health finance legislation priority list.
The leaders of the coalition – Latinos United for Healthcare, Washington – have sent a letter asking members of Congress to make health insurance affordable by creating a “public option” health plan; creating new incentives for small businesses; and improving consumer protection rules.
The group also is asking Congress to eliminate:
- The 5-year waiting period for legal U.S. residents to access Medicaid.
