The House Financial Services Committee's capital markets subcommittee plans to hold a hearing on insurance holding company supervision at 10 a.m. March 18.

A witness list is not yet available.

Rep. Paul Kanjorski, D-Pa., the chairman of the subcommittee, has expressed concern in the past about the fact that regulators let American International Group Inc., New York (NYSE:AIG), become "too big to fail."
