Two Exercises for Letting Go

When I have trouble letting go of emotional strain, I use either of these two simple exercises:

1. I imagine placing specific worries or concerns in bubbles and floating them downstream away from me. This moves them farther away and helps me get back to living in the present moment.

2. If I have difficulty letting go of tension, I say to myself in a patient and loving voice, "Let go…. Let go…. Let go…." This works well when I'm holding on too tight to something that slows me down or stresses me out.
