The Million Dollar Round Table will be putting annual meeting attendees to work feeding the hungry.

The MDRT, Park Ridge, Ill., plans to organize a Million Meal Challenge at the 5-day meeting, which is set to start June 13 in Vancouver.

Members will take 2-hour shifts filling plastic pouches with rice, soy nuggets, dehydrated vegetable mix and vitamin tablets for Kids Around the World, Rockford, Ill., and that group's parent, Kids Against Hunger, New Hope, Minn.

Kids Around the World packages food for hungry families in Haiti, India, Jamaica, Nicaragua, the Philippines and Tanzania.

MDRT members and staffers got the ball rolling by packaging 10,000 meals in January at MDRT's headquarters, the group says. Those meal packages went to Haiti.
