"Seniors gain rights to refuse Medicare"
It is interesting that the question of losing Social Security if you withdraw from Medicare comes now. Medicare is so badly underfunded it is reasonable for seniors to start looking at alternatives, even cash. If you are willing to pay for medical services in cash, the discounts can be as high as 79 percent, based upon the huge discounts given to Medicare and the long wait to be paid. If the mistakes we see in the new government efforts continue, only guesswork can be used regarding its future benefits and its cost.
