Robbins Umeda L.L.P. says it is investigating the financial statements put out by an insurer between August 2005 and March 2008.

Robbins Umeda, San Diego, says it is looking into the possibility that the financial states put out by Conseco Inc., Carmel, Ind., (NYSE:CNO) during that period may not have presented accurate revenue figures and may not have presented the company's true operating performance.

Conseco announced in March 2008 that it was restating financial results for 2005, 2006 and the first 3 quarters of 2007, the firm says.

The firm is asking investors who bought Conseco stock before August 2005 and continue to hold their shares to contact it.

A Conseco spokesperson says the company cannot comment on pending litigation.
