The non-profit LIFE Foundation announced a new campaign this week designed to help insurance professionals utilize Valentine's Day to sell financial security. The campaign, aptly named Insure Your Love, focuses on humor and emotion to appeal to potential clients by reminding them of the importance of protecting those they care about.
"Our hope is that Insure Your Love will become a potent marketing opportunity in the first quarter of the year, similar to what Life Insurance Awareness Month has become in the latter," says Jon Dressner, LIFE's senior vice president and chief creative officer. "It gives the industry yet another chance to engage consumers in a dialogue about life insurance, but in a way that is lighthearted, fun and emotional."
And the fun continues onto the streets. In an effort to maximize the client's participation in the discussion, LIFE has hired comedian Jared Logan to portray Valentine's Day's best-known spokesperson: Cupid. The comedian will dress up as the bringer of love and interview people on the street about their views on love and life insurance in videos that will be posted to the campaign's website www.insureyourlove.org beginning in mid-January.
