At a time when jobs are hard to come by, satisfaction is falling dramatically. A report by The Conference Board, which looks at job satisfaction trends from 1987 to 2009, found that overall job satisfaction fell to just over 45 percent last year, compared to over 61 percent in 1987. Boomers are especially distressed. Younger boomers' job satisfaction is at 46.8 percent; for older boomers, 45.6 percent.
