Advisor Software Inc. says it has made a deal that will help it expand the range of solutions it offers registered investment advisors and the organizations that serve RIAs.
Advisor Software, Lafayette, Calif., has acquired Advisor Partners L.L.C., San Francisco, an asset management firm that runs a separately managed accounts program and a managed portfolio program. The firm also designs model portfolios for financial institutions.
Advisor Software markets systems that handle tasks such as analyzing investment portfolios and rebalancing portfolio assets. The firm also markets a "goal-based investment program" aimed at advisors who want to help clients develop their own goal plans.
