A company known for creating a private, for-profit group health buyers' club has created a buyers' club that offers dental, vision, chiropractic and life benefits.

The CHOICE Administrators unit of Word & Brown Companies, Orange, Calif., is opening the new Choice Builder ancillary benefits program to California employers with 2 to 99 employees.

Employers can use the program to offer employees benefits from a variety of carriers, and pay for the benefits through one monthly bill, CHOICE says.

Employers can pay a set amount for CHOICE program benefits and let employees pay any costs over that amount, or they can have employees pay the full amount on a voluntary basis, CHOICE says.

Benefits are available on a voluntary basis to employers with at least 10 eligible, full-time employees. If a company with just 10 employees wants to participate, at least 5 must enroll in the program, CHOICE says.
