An employee benefits vendor is making it easier for dentists to serve members of its dental plans.
Assurant Employee Benefits, Kansas City, Mo., a unit of Assurant Inc., New York, says it will be adding an instant verification of dental benefits feature to its Online Advantage online administration system.
An employer can get instant confirmations when employees complete the dental benefits enrollment process, and covered employees also can confirm their benefits immediately, Assurant Employee Benefits says.
The new feature can eliminate uncertainty at the dentist's office and means that a newly covered employee can see a dentist as soon as coverage takes effect, the company says.
