According to a USA Today/Gallup poll released last week, 49 percent of Americans fear the costs they pay for healthcare will go up if a healthcare bill is passed. This is up from 43 percent in September. Meanwhile, the amount of people who feel that their healthcare costs will go down as a result of a healthcare remains unchanged from September at 22 percent.
The findings, which reflect the delicate situation before Congress, also indicate that Americans are still open to healthcare reform. Twenty-five percent of Americans say they will support the final bill and another 39 percent indicate that their decision will depend on the final legislation of the bill.
