Henrikson Takes Reins At ACLI

C. Robert Henrikson is the new chairman of the American Council of Life Insurers.

Henrikson has been the chairman of MetLife Inc., New York, (NYSE:MET) since April 2006. He has a bachelor's degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a law degree from Emory University. He serves on the Emory University board of trustees. He also is a member of the boards of the New York Philharmonic and the New York Botanical Garden.

The ACLI, Washington, has picked Michael Fraizer, chairman of Genworth Financial Inc., Richmond, Va., (NYSE:GNW) to be chairman-elect. Fraizer will take over as chairman of the ACLI in October 2010, the council says.

Mark Thresher, president of Nationwide Financial Services Inc., a unit of Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company, Columbus, Ohio, will be the ACLI's chairman-elect designate. Thresher is on track to become ACLI chairman in October 2011.

Patrick Baird, chief executive officer of of AEGON USA, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, a unit of AEGON N.V., The Hague, Netherlands, will be the ACLI's immediate past chairman.
