The Canadian Institute of Actuaries has picked a U.S. organization to help it develop mortality tables designed specifically for Canadian pension plans.
The CIA, Ottawa, Ontario, will be using MIB Solutions Inc., a unit of MIB Group Inc., Braintree, Mass., to gather and analyze recent Canadian pension plan mortality data.
Participating plans and plan administrators will get summaries of their own mortality experience and comparisons of their experience with the aggregate figures, MIB Solutions says.
