Nebraska and West Virginia have agreed to use the State Based Systems program.

The National Association of Insurance Commissioners, Kansas City, Mo., developed SBS to provide support services for state insurance regulators.

Nebraska will be using the NAIC's new Online Premium Tax for Insurance regulatory compliance automation system as well as SBS, the NAIC says.

The OPTins system helps state regulators collect premium tax forms and payments.
