The boards of the funds at Transamerica Asset Management Group have agreed to realign the funds.

Transamerica Asset Management, St. Petersburg, Fla., is a unit of AEGON N.V., The Hague, Netherlands, which is also the parent of Transamerica Life. The fund complex includes the Transamerica Funds, the Transamerica Premier Funds and the Transamerica Asset Management funds.

The fund boards have approved "fund reorganizations, liquidations and sub-adviser changes," according to Transamerica Asset Management.

The initiatives are designed to increase efficiency and help the remaining funds fit together better, the unit says.

Some of the changes require shareholder approval. Transamerica Asset Management plans to implement the changes over the coming year.
