Dinallo in, then out

Just a few months ago, New York insurance department superintendant Eric Dinallo was in the thick of it, regarding life settlements.

As we reported, he made settlement headlines when favoring legislation that would set licensing, registration and disclosure requirements for facilitators of life settlement transactions in the state of New York. (See our article on that here.)

How time flies. Just two weeks ago, Dinallo announced his resignation. He said he's leaving to take an academic post–to become the Henry Kaufman visiting professor of finance at New York University's Stern School of Business. Read about it here
