Personnel Changes: N.Y. Life, Watson Wyatt, Others

New York Life Insurance Company has named Michael Gallo senior vice president of the long-term care operation.

Gallo succeeds Dennis O'Brien.

Gallo previously was senior vice president of retirement income at New York Life, New York.

Gallo has a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Manhattan College. He is a fellow of the Society of Actuaries.

In other personnel news:

- Watson Wyatt Worldwide Inc., Washington, has named Martin Pike global director of the firm's insurance and financial services consulting practice.

Pike will succeed Philip Brook, who will retire July 1, Watson Wyatt says.

- American United Life Insurance Company, a unit of OneAmerica Financial Partners Inc., Indianapolis, has hired Deborah Rubin to be a retirement services regional sales director in the Washington area.

Rubin previously was head of third-party administrator and channel management in the Washington office of a unit of ING Groep N.V., Amsterdam.

Rubin has a bachelor's degree from Barnard College. She holds the Certified Financial Planner professional designation.

- The London office of Towers Perrin Inc. has hired Jason Smith to be a senior consultant for pension risk management.

Smith previously was director, fund manager and investment officer, global fixed income, at BlackRock Inc., New York.

- RedBrick Health Corp., Minneapolis, has hired Jane Alexander to be chief sales officer.

Alexander previously was a principal in the Minneapolis area for Hewitt Associates Inc., Lincolnshire, Ill.
