AXA Equitable Life Insurance Company has developed a Web-based Beneficiary Resource Center.

AXA Equitable, New York, a unit of AXA S.A., Paris, says the site offers tools that beneficiaries and financial professionals can use to file and track life and annuity claims.

The site also includes a collection of information, checklists, and contact databases to support beneficiaries.

A section focusing on "What To Do After A Loss" provides advice about how beneficiaries can deal with the legal and personal issues that may follow the loss of a loved one, such as the need to contact creditors and Social Security and the need to change names on property held jointly.

A "Family Love Letter" section provides an estate planning tool that visitors can use to handle tasks such as establishing a guardian for a child, declaring wishes regarding medical treatment, and creating a collection of useful financial and legal documents.

The site is on the Web at http://www.axa-equitable.com/beneficiary
