Time is money, but you can't always be in the office. A survey by Aite Group found one-third of advisors spend 25 percent of their time working away from the office. Naturally, there should be a demand for business mobile applications; 62 percent of advisors said they would like such applications. Twenty-two percent said they use their mobile phones for work beyond sending e-mail and managing contacts and calendars.

The top reason given for needing business applications on-the-go was to access client and prospect information; 40 percent of advisors said they did this at least every other day when they were on the road.
