The True Goal of Independence

Many breakaway advisors eschew the label of "producer" in this current environment and want to position themselves as advisors on the side of their clients. While discussions of signing bonuses and higher payouts are interesting, advisors generally already know their ability to generate sufficient income regardless of platform.

Independence at a certain level of volume is always going to be more financially rewarding, but it is the non-financial pleasures advisors are seeking and trying to evaluate.
