Health Plan Serves Medical Tourists

Seven Corners Inc. has developed an insurance program aimed at U.S. residents who are traveling overseas to get health care.

The package, underwritten by Lloyd's of London, includes trip cancellation and interruption coverage for non-refundable, prepaid expenses, including the scheduled medical treatment, according to Seven Corners, Carmel, Ind.

The package also includes medical coverage for the patient and companion for conditions unrelated to the scheduled medical procedure; worldwide emergency medical evacuation and repatriation services; and worldwide medical coverage for treatment of complications resulting from care received abroad.
