The parent of a life settlement company has started a subsidiary that will sell longevity and mortality investment advisory services in the United Kingdom.

Peach Holdings Inc., Boynton Beach, Fla., the holding company for the group that includes Peachtree Life Settlements, says the asset management subsidiary, Peachtree Asset Management Ltd., has opened for business.

The subsidiary, which has a principal office in London, will be the asset manager for the new Peachtree Non-Correlated Fund, Peach says.

In addition to acting as an asset and fund manager for investments in longevity- and mortality-based instruments, Peachtree Asset Management will serve as an advisor in the litigation finance arena, Peach says.

The subsidiary is licensed by the U.K. Financial Services Administration.
