An affinity marketing company has developed a new program for adults ages 40 and older.

Affinion Group Inc., Norwalk, Conn., says the new AD Silver program will market accidental death and dismemberment insurance through credit card businesses and other retail banking businesses.

Enrollment for the primary insured is guaranteed for applicants ages 40 years of age or older, and there is no physical required or medical questions to answer, Affinion says.

There there is no minimum age requirement for the insured's spouse, there is no termination age, and there is no reduction in benefits as policyholders age, Affinion says.

An inflation protection feature can increase the level of benefits to as much as 125% of the original amount, and the policy can pay income benefits of up to $1,500 per month for hospital stays lasting more than 7 days, Affinion says.

Income payments for insureds who suffer a covered accident can last up to a year, Affinion says.

Affinion will increase benefits 50% if an insured who is wearing a seatbelt dies while in an automobile.

Hartford Life Insurance Company and Hartford Life and Accident Insurance Company, units of Hartford Financial Services Group Inc., Hartford, are providing the underlying AD&D coverage.
