Commodity stocks are enjoying a resurgence in popularity as Wall Street runs red with blood. Financial Times reports gold increased 11.4 percent to $866.10 per troy ounce, while shortages in oil pushed prices higher. Disruptions in supply from Hurricane Gustav and violence in Nigeria cut supply by 6.3 million barrels, the paper writes.
