Thirty years ago there were approximately 2,500 life insurance companies in America. Today, there are 800 operating life insurance companies. New-life insurance mergers are causing a frenzy for management recruitment.
Executive recruiters have set their eyes on Gibbs Brown, the CEO of Global Recruiters Network, in San Francisco.
Brown achieved Million Dollar Round Table Status (MDRT), in his first year as a life insurance agent, for Equitable Life. At 36, he became the president of Western Operations, supervising more than 3,000 agents from Wisconsin to Hawaii.
"Had I been more attentive to calls I received from recruiters, my career opportunities would have expanded tremendously. My mission now is to share my experiences and contacts with companies looking to grow and with talented executives and managers who are looking to advance their careers to best help their families," said Brown.
