  • 32.9%: Percentage of claims were for assisted living.
  • 24.1%: Percentage of claims that paid for nursing home care.
  • 97%: Percentage of long-term care insurance policies sold that provide some form of home care benefit in 2007.
  • 32.3%: Percentage of new claims in 2007 that began for individuals between 70 and 79
  • 55.2%: Percentage of new claims in 2007 that began for individuals age 80 or over; 11.5 percent were for those between 50 and 69.
