A large insurer is adding identity theft protection features to its travel benefits product.
A unit of MetLife Inc., New York, says it will be making an Identity Theft Solutions package from AXA Assistance USA Inc., Chicago, a unit of AXA S.A., Paris, a standard part of the travel assistance option.
MetLife sells the travel assistance option together with accidental death and dismemberment coverage and with business travel accident coverage.
The Identity Theft Solutions includes services such as help with getting credit reports, help with placing "fraud alerts" with credit bureaus, and filing and obtaining police and credit reports.
