  • 41%: Percentage of workers covered by their own defined benefit plan or a spouse's, however, 62% expect to receive income from such a plan in retirement.
  • 33%: Approximate percentage of retirees who have long-term care insurance in addition to Medicare and other insurance to pay for care they may need in a nursing home or assisted living facility.
  • 33%: Percentage of people under age 55 who purchased individual long-term care insurance in 2007.*
  • 50%: Percentage of people between the ages of 55 and 64 who purchased long-term care insurance in 2007.*
