As of Jan. 1 of this year, anyone hoping to earn a Certified Financial Planner certificate must hold a bachelor's degree. To address that need and give its students a head start on the needed degree, The American College has teamed with Webster University. Courses completed through The American College will count for credit toward a bachelor's degree at Webster.
"The American College focuses on professional and graduate studies and entered into this agreement with Webster University in an effort to help our students accelerate the designation completion process," said Walt Woerheide, Ph.D., CFP, vice president of academic affairs, dean and professor of investments at The American College. "In addition, this agreement will help students save money by reducing the number of credits necessary to complete an undergraduate degree through this accredited, private, nonprofit institution of higher learning."
