"We just bought a bigger life insurance policy maybe four months ago. Our insurance agent does an annual insurance review with us – everything from homeowners' insurance to life insurance – and since we still have kids under 18, he suggested that we change our existing policy in case anything bad happens. You hope for the best, but prepare for the worst."

"Because my husband has a history of heart problems and didn't try to get insurance until he was older, it's been difficult for us to get good life insurance. And believe me, we've looked. I do have a term policy on myself, but I'm also 12 years younger than he is."

"About three years ago, we decided to look at buying some sort of life insurance. But we've never made a lot of money, and our kids are grown and don't expect to get anything when we die. So, instead of buying life insurance, which would have been more expensive, we bought something called funeral insurance. At least the kids won't have to pay the price of a funeral, which can get pretty pricey."

Jean H., 59
Saulk Centre, Minn.
"I haven't thought about life insurance in years. It's one of those things that, if you have it, you tend not to worry about it ever again. Maybe I should schedule a time to review my policy to make sure I have the coverage I need."
