FINRA Puts Insurance On Meeting Agenda

The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority Inc. plans to start a 3-day securities conference in Hollywood, Fla., May 21.

The conference, which is open to the public, will offer 15 workshops, including a session on insurance product regulation, according to FINRA, Washington.

At the insurance products session, speakers will "discuss current topics related to the sale of insurance products and provide guidance on Rule 2821 and insurance product supervision, suitability and sales practices," FINRA says.

Speakers also will discuss the regulation of insurance products at the federal and state level, FINRA says.
