American College Offers Ethics Toolkit

The American College Center for Ethics in Financial Services is preparing to provide a group of tools to help insurers, agencies and their producers conform to professional principles for the industry.

Tied to Ethics Awareness Month, which takes place in March, the organization's EAM Toolkit consists of 2 videos, each accompanied by a moderators' guide, and an article titled: "Ethics Awareness for The Financial Services Professional."

The videos are:

oClient Communications, a case study of client interactions that can provides a focal point for participant discussion on ethical concerns.

oEthical Scenarios, a collection of 10 situations illustrating how ethics can make an impact on productivity and profitability.

The toolkit will be available March 1 at .

The center, Bryn Mawr, Pa., is also preparing a Webcast to kick off EAM. Titled, "The Role of the Ethical Leader: How To Put Ethics Into Practice in Financial Services," the event will be available online March 4 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. EST.

Participating in the Webcast will be Steve Anderson, senior executive vice president and national sales manager, Waddell and Reed;Jeff Bosco, chief operating officer of the American Family Life Insurance Company and vice president of its variable products and health division; John Greene, president of agency distribution, Prudential Financial Inc.'s individual life insurance division; and Scott R. Perry, president, Bankers Life and Casualty Company.

The American College says it has submitted the Webcast for state insurance continuing education credit in all 50 states.
