A managed care company has recruited a banker to run a health account financial services subsidiary.

UnitedHealth Group Inc., Minnetonka, Minn., has hired Kelvin Anderson to be president of Exante Bank Inc., Salt Lake City.

Anderson previously was chief operating officer of Escrow Bank USA, Midvale, Utah.

Anderson has a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Utah. He succeeds Dean Mason, who has left to "pursue new opportunities outside of the company," UnitedHealth says.

Exante manages 1.3 million health financial accounts that hold about $540 million in assets UnitedHealth says.

UnitedHealth says it plans to change the name of the bank to OptumHealth Bank March 3.
