The Kansas Health Insurance Association is seeking bids from health carriers and benefit plan administrators that want to run the Kansas Uninsurable Health Insurance Plan.

The KHIA, Great Bend, Kan., which runs the risk pool, is looking for a carrier or administrator for a 3-year period that would start Jan. 1, 2009.

Parties interested in the contract should contact the Kansas Insurance Department in writing by Dec. 27, officials say.
