The National Retirement Planning Coalition today is kicking off observance of National Retirement Planning Week.
The NRPC, Washington, which includes many insurance organizations, has been organizing the retirement planning weeks since 2002 to increase Americans' interest in saving and investing for retirement.
Ben Stein, a well-known columnist and the former host of Comedy Central's "Win Ben Stein's Money," has come out with a pep talk urging Americans to approach retirement planning the same way they ought to approach physical fitness.
One key element is to find a good coach – a "qualified financial/retirement planner," Stein says.
