The Financial Planning Association (FPA) and the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO) announced a joint effort to help individuals financially prepare for end-of-life care by educating families on a variety of personal financial planning topics including estate planning, advance directives, and insurance benefits. FPA is providing literature on personal finance topics, an e-mail hotline, and a speaker's bureau for hospices across the country. Additionally, FPA's PlannerSearch program is available on NHPCO's Caring Connections Web site–www.caringinfo.org–to help connect individuals and their families with planners.
