A well-known figure in the long term care insurance market is branching out.

Wilma Anderson has set up Critical Illness Coach, Littleton, Colo., a wholesaler that will help insurance agents sell critical illness insurance policies, which pay lump sums to insureds who have heart attacks, strokes and other catastrophic conditions.

Successful sellers of critical insurance can generate about $70,000 in annual commission revenue, Anderson estimates.

Anderson is best known as the operator of The LTC Coach long term care insurance training program.
