HearUSA Expands Alliances With Insurers

A hearing care provider has expanded its collaboration with a number of managed care organizations.

HearUSA Inc., West Palm Beach, Fla. Says it has expanded its provider relationship with Humana Inc., Louisville, Ky., adding its hearing benefits to Humana offerings in 5 additional states for 2008.

So far this year, HearUSA says, it has added or expanded agreements with more than 40 managed health care organizations,. Its contracts now cover 2.5 million members, up from 1.1 million 5 years ago, the company says.
