Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield has started selling the Dental Blue preferred provider organization dental plan in Wisconsin.
Anthem Blue, a unit of WellPoint Inc., Indianapolis, is offering the plan to Wisconsin businesses with 2 or more employees, WellPoint says.
The plan offers a choice of 3 provider networks, ranging from the Dental Blue 100 network, with 429 offices in its provider directory, to the Dental Blue 300 network, which has 1,850 offices.
Plan members do not need referrals to see oral surgeons and other specialists, and plan members who use up their annual maximum benefits can still qualify for discounted fees, WellPoint says.
