The Life and Health Insurance Foundation for Education says its board is happy with the results of a major new income protection awareness campaign.

The board has voted to continue the group's Disability Insurance Awareness Month campaign program in 2008, according to LIFE, Washington.

The first disability awareness month, held in May, attracted strong support from insurers and insurance industry groups, and the Council for Disability Awareness, Portland, Maine, persuaded the Wall Street Journal to run an article about a CDA study on rising disability claims, LIFE says.

A series of disability insurance public service announcements may have reached about 100 million radio listeners, LIFE says.
